In short
- When you visit, we count pages and clicks without cookies and without knowing who you are.
- When you book a demo, we get what you type in the form and use it only to reply.
- We donβt sell your data or use it for advertising.
When you visit the site
We use PostHog, on its EU servers in Frankfurt, to see which pages people read and where they came from.
- Nothing is stored on your device: no cookies, no local storage.
- We record the pages you view, the site or link that sent you (including any campaign tags in that link), the buttons and links you click, how far you scroll, how fast pages load, and your browser, device type, screen size, language and time zone.
- Your IP address is used once, to make an anonymous visitor code that changes every day. The address itself is never stored. Because the code changes daily, we canβt tell when you come back.
- We donβt record your screen, and we donβt record what you type.
- Our reason is a legitimate interest: knowing which pages are useful and which links bring visitors.
- To turn it off in your browser, open any page with
?notrack=1 at the end of the address, for example claimthestory.com/?notrack=1. Your browser keeps that one setting so it remembers.
When you book a demo
- The form asks for your name, work email and company website. Two more questions are optional.
- Formspree delivers the form to our inbox. Formspree is based in the US, so your answers may be processed there.
- To stop spam, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA. It loads only after you click into the form. Google then receives your IP address and browser details, under Googleβs privacy policy.
- We use what you send to reply and to prepare the call, and for nothing else. Our reason: you asked us to get in touch.
If we emailed you first
We sometimes write to people at companies whose work weβve read, to share research that may help them. We use your work email for that and nothing else. Reply βstopβ and we wonβt write again. Ask, and weβll delete your details.
Hosting
Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure, and keeps short-lived server logs.
Who else sees it
Only the services named above: PostHog for analytics, Vercel for hosting, Formspree for the form and Google for the spam check. Nobody else, and never advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Visit data carries no name or address. We keep it so we can compare traffic over time.
- Form answers and emails: until you ask us to delete them, or once we no longer need them to talk to you.
